A real note, a set of recall questions, and room to think before revealing the source.View still imageDownload video

You read it.
Can you recall it?

You have a note full of thoughtful questions for your next interview. You reread it the night before. Then the conversation starts, and the questions disappear.

FirstRecall gives you a way to practice before that moment. Generate questions from your notes, put the source out of sight, and see what you can bring to mind.

Walk through your first study session

How FirstRecall works.

  1. Start with your note.

Open a Markdown note with material you want to remember. Headings help organize section study cards, but notes without headings work too.

  2. Give yourself a question.

Section study cards bring recall questions and key terms into view, so you have somewhere specific to begin.

  3. Try. Then reveal.

Study Mode hides the source text. Attempt an answer first, then reveal the note to check what you remembered.

Study material lives alongside your note. Your source Markdown stays unchanged.View still imageDownload video

Your notes and AI provider.

Your source stays yours.

FirstRecall keeps generated study material separate from your source Markdown. Generating cards and using Study Mode do not rewrite your note.

Choose where generation happens.

Connect a cloud, local, or terminal provider. Data handling depends on your choice: cloud-backed generation sends the required note content to that provider. A local setup can keep generation on your machine.
